LIOT - groupe familial - family business

HISTORY

Created by the LIOT family between the two world wars as an egg storage and trading business, the company packed eggs in boxes and crates for sale to wholesalers. In the 1950s, it was a pioneer in the manufacture of egg products.
In the 1980s, the highly innovative LIOT invented the confidoeufs (salted or sweetened concentrated whole egg and salted or sweetened yolk, which can be kept at room temperature for one year). Then progress came in the 1990s, with the LIOT process, making it possible to keep heat-treated egg white for six months at room temperature while still offering classic egg products.
The Lionello EUROVO family group took over the LIOT family business in 2001; this was the Eurovo group’s second takeover in France after OVONOR, acquired in 1998. LIOT, which continues to innovate in the nutrition sector and increasingly controls its production chain, has operated all of the French business since 2008.

DEVELOPMENT and OBJECTIVES

Between the end of 2018 and mid-2020, the company invested more than 6 million euros in capacity increases and new production technologies (crushing, sanitization with automatic washing systems (CIP), pasteurization, aseptic storage tanks, packaging lines, automation, processes, waste treatment). (Cassage, CIP, Pasteurisation, cuves de stockage aseptiques, lignes de conditionnements, automatisation, process, traitement des rejets).

The goal is to increase sales by 40% over the next five years by developing new products and new market segments: out-of-home food services, nutrition and health and developing supermarket products by implementing a new business policy for this strategy.
